Sarah Michelle Gellar has DIY skills

Sarah Michelle Gellar reckons her DIY skills will save her from ever being dubbed dumb blonde.
The former Buffy star says she has turned into a fix-it girl in the home she shares with husband Freddy Prinze Jnr and their child just to prove a point.
“When something goes wrong I take it very seriously and I do not stop trying to fix it until it is done,” says Sarah Michelle.
“I will only call someone out as a last resort because my greatest fear in life is having to call someone, like the plumber, out and he comes and says ‘Oh, you just have to turn this thing’. It happened with the cable guy once. I tried everything I could to fix it. But he came and he gave me ‘that’ look and just said ‘It’s unplugged’.
“Being female and blonde they just give you that look like the one your parents give you when you are small. It makes you feel so stupid.”
Sarah has previously admitted her daughter is the reason she’s returning to TV.
“Once I had my daughter, I realized that I was done living the romantic lifestyle of movies, and although it works for some actors, I want to be home,” she said. “I want to put her to bed and get up with her in the morning, and I want to be there for her first day of school. And nothing offers that more than television. And what’s been so interesting for me getting back into it was I didn’t realize how much I missed it, how much I missed the excitement of getting the new episode and doing something different and seeing the same people and the family environment.
“I think if I hadn’t had the time away, I wouldn’t have been able to appreciate the experience that I’m appreciating now.”
