Chevy Chase wants another National Lampoons Vacation!

Chevy Chase is up for another National Lampoons Vacation but only if he gets to be the star.
The Hollywood veteran found fame in the Eighties playing a haphazard dad in the Lampoons movies and now movie bosses want to bring the franchise back as well as Chevy’s comedy detective character Fletch.
“I’m not gonna do Fletch unless I’m Fletch,” says the 67-year-old actor.
“If they start writing something for a kid who’s Fletch and I’m just helping out, ‘Bye!’. I mean, there’s no reason why, at my age, I can’t still be Fletch. It’s the same with Vacation. I’ve written an idea that would be basically like a cruise and there’s a fire on the ship, we jump and we end up on an island.”
