Charlize Theron talks Sigourney Weaver

Charlize Theron has thanked Ghostbusters star Sigourney Weaver for kicking open doors for action girls everywhere.
Monster star Charlize says she would never have gotten the opportunity to front big budget movies like her upcoming Alien prequel Prometheus had it not been for Sigourney.
“For any girl that ever saw Alien it was like, ‘Yeah, it’s time to dance!’ I do think that (director) Ridley Scott really was the first person who took full advantage of how you could explore not only that genre but themes that I think mostly men in cinema had been allowed to explore,” she said.
“And then Sigourney blazed a trail for all of us in those movies. She was a pioneer and it’s an honour to follow her.”
Meanwhile, Charlize says she’s looking forward to working with Kristen Stewart ahead of their movie together, Snow White and the Huntsman.
“I can probably tell you that Kristen Stewart is going to give me a run for my money,” says the star, who will play the Evil Queen to Kristen’s Snow White. “All I can say is, ‘I’m ready for it bitch! Let’s go!’”
Theron recently admitted she’s a “total wimp” in real life.
“I am a total wimp,” says Charlize who once suffered a severe neck injury while filming comic book movie Aeon Flux.
“I just pretend to be a bad ass. In actuality I am a total wimp. I get scared by anything physical I have to do.”
