Guy Ritchie‘s girlfriend Jacqui Ainsley has given birth to a baby boy.
The 42-year-old director who already has sons Rocco, 11, and adopted David, five, with ex-wife Madonna welcomed the arrival at London’s Portland Hospital by an emergency caesarean at 11am yesterday, and the as-yet-unnamed child is said to be doing well.
“The baby came a few days earlier than planned but the actual birth went well and both mum and tot are doing great,” a source said.
Madonna who split with the Sherlock Holmes director in 2008 was quick to offer her congratulations and all of her children, including 14-year-old Lourdes and six-year-old adopted daughter Mercy will also meet the baby boy soon.
“Madonna sent her congratulations. Rocco, Lourdes and adopted youngsters David and Mercy are all being introduced to the new arrival within the next couple of weeks,” said the pal.
“Both Guy and Madonna are determined to be grown-up about it and remain on friendly terms.”
Guy and Jacqui had a relaxed attitude to pregnancy, with the British filmmaker keen to make sure she was taking it easy while she prepared for birth.
“Jacqui was crying with joy when she found out she was pregnant,” said the source. “They went on holiday because Guy is determined she takes it easy. He won’t let her do anything more strenuous than argue over baby names.”
