Ed Westwick shy around the ladies

Ed Westwick is more of a shy guy when it comes to girls.
The Brit actor says although he plays Upper Eastside’s more confident guy Chuck Bass in the hit show Gossip Girl, he actually gets really nervous when it comes to chatting up potential dates.
“I think Chuck would probably be a little bit more aggressive, shall we say? As we have seen in the show he goes after who he wants. I am a little bit more laid back and I actually get quite shy. So that would be the major difference rather than a similarity,” he said.
Ed recently admitted he once pretended to be in the army to pick up a girl.
“I told one girl I was in the army, I pulled the serviceman thing,” he said. “Before my Gossip Girl days. It didn’t work, I got thrown back. I should have had the uniform, it would have made things very different.”
